Despite having to do a beard, we were required to do a "Gender Bender" Makeup, which required us to study the bone structure of a man in comparison to a woman, and use that as a guide to re-structure our faces with makeup. I chose to look at pictures of men in stark black and white photographs, from different angles, and with different lighting, as I found it helped in seeing the bone structure.
I also found a lovely guide in contouring for masculine versus feminine features:
For this makeup, I used foundation, character shadow, highlight, eyeliner, a stubble sponge,
Note the broader nose, the change of where the bone structure sits, the difference in the angles of the face.
